Tennis Society

The Club's Tennis Society was formed in 2001 as interest in the sport increased amongst a wide cross-section of Club sportsmen and women. The main aim of the Society is to promote tennis within the Club ˇV both socially and competitively. Those members who wish to play a social game of tennis amongst friends can do so by participating in a variety of tournaments held throughout the year. These include mens, ladies and mixed events, a Parent and Child tournament and a Charity event. Every few months, "Coach and Social" evenings are held for those who would like a few extra tips from our resident coaches while members also have the opportunity to play in the weekly Sunday morning socials or in the Singles Ladder that runs throughout the year.

For the more competitive in nature, members have the opportunity to participate in evening leagues organized by the Hong Kong Tennis Association or in the Hong Kong Ladies Tennis League. Currently the club has seven teams participating in these competitions.

In order to support Society members who are keen to improve their game, our resident tennis coaches can provide individual and group coaching sessions. The coaches are also heavily involved in the development of the increasing number of junior players who are interested in the game.
